New Year’s Resolution
As the new year approaches many of you will make the most common resolution of all. The resolution of losing weight and joining a gym.That normally lasts for a few weeks.Then when April approaches gyms and cardio classes fill up with the hope of getting t-shirt, summer dress, bathing suit ready in 60 days. Once the summer hits and the bbqs begin the attitude of ” it is what it is” settles in. Refusing the potato salad, BBQ ribs, and alcoholic beverages is just unheard of. How can one maintain a healthy diet with all this good food around? The weather is too nice outside to be in a gym or cardio class, so the thought process is I will start in September. In September the classes are full again until the weather begins to get cooler and the days end earlier then there are less people coming out. Why is it so hard to maintain your workout in the winter? As the number of students dwindle down to barely nothing, the couches get more comfortable.The weight begins to add back on and so does the frustration. Next the holidays are back.The food is everywhere and you are right back to your same new year’s resolution.
